Another One Joins The Nest.
Friday 23rd of this month saw the arrival of Zelma's (and mine) granddaughter from South Africa.
Dominique has joined us at long last and for me, it was a seven year event in the making. One that I welcomed with opened arms and heart. This petite and somewhat tiny young lady is all manners and respect tied up in a happy-go-lucky bundle of humanity. Her accent, as one would expect is very strong and infectious in such a nice way and her personality has won the hearts of all who have met her thus far. Dare I say it; but she has got me (Pops as she calls me) wrapped around her tiny little finger. Clearly, it is obvious that we; her and I, hit it off straight away.
A word to the wise, even with her diminuitive stature, she still has all the venom of a black mamba and it would be foolish to cross her path the wrong way (just like her grandmother).
We have planned times for her and I to spend one on one time together to tighten the already tight bond we have formed in such a short time.
Sharing the house with these two beautiful women is going to be a time in my life I'll cherish forever. That includes remembering to leave the toilet seat down and making sure to leave enough hot water for showering without using it all as I normally do after Zelma has had her shower. A truly small price to pay.
She is a bloody good little cook and making coffee for each other is easy as we both have our coffee the same way. A win, win situation all round for this old man.
Welcome to the land of boomerangs, koalas and kangaroos as well as family and friends who know the true meaning of the word love Dominique.

Something New From The Keyboard.
Something New From The Keyboard.
This is my first blog, infact my first bit of writing since my last post re the winter blog a while ago.
My
time has been spent in the workshop of late creating on a different
level and remodelling my little 'getaway'. All of the creativity I
allude to can be seen in here as well as the new picture album 'My
Pallet Projects' on my original Facebook account (the one with the wild
looking bike).
I
have certainly had fun making the projects and honing my woodworking
skills and the results have been both successful and popular all over.
Friends in both, England and South Africa have been impressed by my skill
levels. One of the South Africans on my friend list wanted me to go there
and make stuff for her but the financial cost of doing so far out-weighs
the costs recouped so my friend, I have to decline. Another friend in
the U.K asked a similar question regards a pot screen I had made and
when I had given her the quote of making and shipping, it was more than
she was willing to part with.
